Integrating the Colorado Academic Standards in science and mathematics and in
all content areas to enhance STEM education is supported through a wide array of
free instructional resources. This webpage will list just a few of these
resources and will be updated regularly.

- National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
NSTA is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. They have a special section for STEM called the STEM Classroom.
- The STEM Classroom
This resources published by the National Science Teachers Association provides a forum for integrating and supporting STEM teaching at the middle and high school levels. There is a quick review of STEM resources with links to research and grants in the March 2012 archive newsletter.
- PBS STEM Education Resource Center
PBS offers all Americans the opportunity to explore new ideas and new worlds related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning through television and online content.
- STEM Education Coalition
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Coalition works to support STEM programs for teachers and students at the U. S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and other agencies that offer STEM related programs.
- STEM Magazine
This magazine is published and edited by Wayne Carley, a STEM educator in Georgia. STEM Magazine focuses on inspiring and fueling the creative process of curriculum while balancing everything else that comes with teaching.
- eNet Colorado
eNetColorado’s mission is to provide educators and districts statewide access to high-quality content and resources that support the improvement of student achievement.
- Esri GIS Education Community
The ability to map your data allows students to visualize patterns, connections, and relationships. This resource helps you take advantage of powerful Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to support STEM education, STEM-related careers, and inquiry by mapping your own data with ArcGIS Online.
- University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR)Community Programs
The UCAR Community Programs (UCP) consists of eight programs which create, conduct, and coordinate projects that strengthen education and research in the atmospheric, oceanic and earth sciences. Below are brief descriptions of the current programs.
- SPARK
SPARK engages people in the wonder and relevance of science. We focus on scientific literacy, workforce development, and community engagement.
- DLESE - Digital Library for Earth System Education.
DLESE is a free resource that supports teaching and learning about the Earth system. Resources include lesson plans, curricula, scientific data, visualizations, interactive computer models, and virtual field trips and labs, simulations, podcasts from kindergarten to graduate level. Also included are Earth Science literacy maps that relate to specific Earth science concepts and associated educational standards.

The National Education Association (NEA) has compiled ten resources for curriculum and professional development.
- The CLEAN Collection
You can search over 500 scientifically and pedagogically reviewed digital resources for teaching about climate science, climate change, and energy awareness.

NoNameSite.com is a program developed by TopCoder with funding from DARPA (the US Government Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). Our goal is to develop a new, online Community catering to people 13 to 18 years old and beyond.
- Scratch
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web. As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
