What's New

The second year of the SLDS grant has seen every outcome and underlying project being started.  All of the major procurement actions associated with the three strategic objectives (CAPTURE, LINK, and PROVIDE) have been completed.

The overall program management of the Grant continues with the SLDS Executive Steering Committee (SESC) meeting on a monthly basis.  The SESC membership continues to grow with representation for each of the State Agencies identified in the Grant application represented.  District representation remains high and they are engaged in monitoring and recommending direction for the implementation of the P-20 SLDS.

Implementation of the CDE and SLDS Data Governance structures continues to be a priority.  The governance implementation is running in parallel with the technology projects being executed to complete the established outcomes.

The Organization Change Management (OCM) team has completed their overall strategy as well as their communication strategy.  The OCM team has recommended that the SLDS program be renamed to Relevant Information to Strengthen Education (RISE) to help the majority of the grant's stakeholders better understand the purpose of the outcomes that are being completed.

As part of this transition from SLDS to RISE the CDE is standing up a separate web site for the projects and outcomes associated with the grant.  The SLDS site will continue to be used for all things related to the general SLDS grant including those items related to USDOE reporting.

Please visit the new RISE site for more information on the SLDS outcomes:
