Implementation

The third phase involves local education agencies fully implementing new standards and curriculum in classrooms. Instruction focuses on:

• 21st century skills that are embedded at each grade level in all content areas – critical thinking and reasoning, information literacy, collaboration, self direction, and invention

• Prepared graduate competencies that highlight what all high school graduates should know and able to do in all content areas

• Curriculum exemplars

• Video resources for teaching

• Examples of student mastery of the new standards

• Resources to develop student growth measures for all tested and non-tested content areas
