Updated Draft 2012 School Performance Framework Report Template
Based on feedback from the field and revisions required by the ESEA waiver, the Department has drafted the 2012 District and School Performance Framework reports. The 2012 DPFs and SPFs will include the addition of two new measures: (1) growth in English language proficiency (CELApro) and (2) disaggregated graduation rates. Districts will have an opportunity to see the simulated results (2011 DPF data using the 2012 modifications) this summer, prior to the August 15 preliminary release.
Preview the draft SPF report template and a listing of the revisions at the link below.

School Change Deadlines Due June 30
Requests for new school codes, school closures, name changes and grade changes for the 2012-13 school year are due to CDE by June 30. This information is crucial to ensure accurate Title IA funding, NCLB ESEA waiver implementation, on-time and accurate release of the School Performance Frameworks and earlier dissemination of the pre-populated Unified Improvement Plans. Additionally, having a final 2012-13 school list earlier will allow for better reporting in SchoolView and access to grade specific assessment materials.
To see if your district has already submitted a request for a school change or submit school changes, visit the link below. Changes CDE has received are available at: http://www.cde.state.co.us/edulibdir/directory_03.pdf.

New School Meal Patterns: Meal Cost Considerations and Pricing
Starting in school year 2012-13, schools participating in the USDA’s School Meal Programs are required to meet new nutrition standards for breakfast and lunch meals.
Meal Cost Considerations: The New Meal Patterns require a variety of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to be served each week. Creating a four- or six-week cycle menu may be beneficial to ease menu planning and decrease overall cost.
Meal Pricing: For school year 2012-13, all districts participating in the National School Lunch Program are required to complete and submit the Paid Lunch Equity SY 2012-13 Tool found at http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdenutritran/nutriUSDA-memos.htm to determine compliance and to calculate any necessary paid lunch price increase or non-federal source contribution.
