District Input Sessions

Attn: Superintendents, administrators, executive assistants and student data contacts/liasons

Under the direction of Commissioner Dwight D. Jones, and our “Forward Thinking” goals, we would like to invite input from districts on upcoming educational legislation. The legislation includes the students per teacher ratio requirement, student course taking, the possibility of teacher identification and any others that may be a factor.

During June, CDE will be conducting information gathering meetings with Colorado school districts. These meetings are not mandatory. The meetings are intended for all interested district student data contacts and administrators who can help determine how CDE can best provide data and data reports/analysis to better assist you when making academic decisions for your students or professional development decisions for staff.

The link below will direct you to the online registration process for the meetings. All meetings are scheduled for three hours from 9 a.m. to noon.

Topics that will be discussed and covered during the meetings:

1. “Forward Thinking” goals and objectives
2. Other educational legislation
3. New legislative requirements
4. School Codes for the Exchange of Data (SCED)
