CSAP-A Contrasting Groups Survey

Attn: DACs, Superintendents and CSAP-A Test Examiners

The CSAP-A Contrasting Groups Survey is still open and accessible by clicking the link below.

While participation is voluntary, CDE urges test examiners to complete a survey for each student who is administered the CSAP-A assessment. To provide the most accurate judgments of performance, it is important that surveys be completed soon after students are tested.

The survey is available only in the online platform. Faxed submissions will not be accepted. The survey will close shortly following the end of the CSAP-A testing window.

We value your teachers' expertise and knowledge about their students. Survey results are completely confidential and do not affect students' scores.

The information collected will be used only to provide information for the technical CSAP-A reporting.

Last year, test examiners filled out surveys for 1,400 Colorado students.

The authors of a position paper regarding SB 08-181 have issued a revised statement that addresses training recommendations.

The minimum recommendations have not changed. The revisions address additional requirements if a school district receives federal preparedness grant funds.

SB 08-181 amended the Safe Schools Act, CRS 22-32-109.1, to require districts and the Charter School Institute to implement the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

The authors represented CDE, CASB, the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool, the Department of Public Safety and the Division of Emergency Management.
