Important Due Date

NCLB Consolidated Budget Revisions Deadline

Hello Everyone,

The deadline for submitting final budget revisions for the NCLB Consolidated Budget FY '08 is March 1, 2008. However, since the 1st falls on a Saturday, we will accept submissions through Monday, March 3rd.

A budget revision should be submitted in order to:

• Change to final allocations; all approved budgets should have the final allocations. (Final allocations were published 9/10/07.)

• Finalize prior year carryover amounts to be used in FY ’08. These amounts are the result of the FY ’07 NCLB Consolidated Annual Financial Report. If your Annual Financial Report has not been given final approval, please contact the Grants Fiscal Management Unit at (303)866-6724.

• Enter “Unused” Statutory Requirements on sheet 7 of the ’08 budget. (These amounts are from sheet 7 of the FY ’07 Annual Financial Report.)

• Replace TBD’s on the Staff Detail page, (4a or 4b), with the name of employee who filled the position. (No final budget revisions will be approved with TBD’s)

• Identify any other significant changes to the previous budget. (I.E., equipment that was not on previously approved budget, changes to the “intent of the program”.)

Please make a note of your changes on sheet 9 of your budget revision.

If your current approved budget has already addressed the above changes, it is not necessary to submit another revision.

AYP Contacts- we need your help! Do you use the download function to receive your AYP data through ADE? If so, we need your opinions! We are looking to change the file formats this year for both the upload and download options. We want to remove the rates and determinations from the files, so that you would only upload/download the numerators and denominators. This would help ensure greater data quality and it would also ensure the files do not exceed the column limit in Excel. Would this be a problem for you? What implications would it have?
