Immunization Survey Assessment
Attn: Superintendents, Principals, Special Ed Directors, School Nurses
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will be conducting an annual Immunization School Survey Assessment in the next few months. State law gives CDPHE authority to verify the records of immunizations maintained by schools and allows them to monitor compliance with Colorado’s school immunization requirements. Schools should consider the revised Immunization School Survey Assessment to be in compliance with FERPA regulations. For further information on the survey, visit the link below.

NCLB Reporting and SchoolView
Attn: Federal Program Contacts
New features are coming to the School Performance section of SchoolView! CDE is working to report all of the NCLB and state reporting requirements, including district and school performance framework reports, into a new format in SchoolView. The new format will provide direct access to data, more interactivity and downloadable reports. CDE estimates that the new reports will be available in early December.
In the meantime, the current school and district profiles will still be posted but will not be updated with 2009-2010 results. We know that many districts need to access data for reporting and planning purposes. Access to specific data is available as follows:
• AYP results and public reports can be accessed in the ADE AYP system by the district’s AYP Respondent. Additionally, results are posted at http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/danda/aypres.asp. Title IA School and Program Improvement information is available at this same site.
• Highly Qualified Teacher data is reported at the school and district level online at http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/danda/hqtdata.asp.
• AMAO results, along with Title III Improvement status are posted at http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/tiii/amaos.asp.
• Preliminary SPF and DPF reports are available through CEDAR.
The annual report to the public is still an NCLB requirement, which can be met by notifying parents that the information is posted on the web. Guidance around reporting is available at http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/danda/annrpt.asp. However, since the new data will not be posted until December, we recommend waiting to notify your public until then.

2009-2010 AMAO Notification
Attn: Title III Contacts, ELA Coordinators
The Colorado Department of Education has released the final determinations for the 2009-2010 Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives (AMAOs), the accountability measure for the Title III program under NCLB. E-mails were sent to Title III recipients on Tuesday, Oct, 19 with the local education agency/grantee’s final AMAO results and Title III Improvement Status.
An LEA/grantee that does not meet one or more of the three AMAOs must inform the parents of English Language Learners that it has not met its AMAOs within 30 business days of the public release of Title III AMAO Accountability reports. Sample letters are posted at www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/tiii/amaos.asp - under AMAO Resources.
An LEA/grantee that does not meet one or more the three AMAOs for two consecutive years must develop a plan to address the specific factors that prevented it from achieving the AMAOs. The plan should be included in the district’s Unified Improvement Plan. Information about the Unified Improvement plan is available at www.schoolview.org/UnifiedImprovementPlanning.asp
The AMAO results for the state are available at http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/tiii/amaos.asp
For questions about AMAO data, please contact Alyssa Pearson. For questions about Title III Improvement and notification requirements, please contact Morgan Cox at Cox_m@cde.state.co.us.
