Autism Level 2 Training: Verbal Behavior

This training will delve deeper into the topic of Verbal Behavior (VB). Participants need to be well-versed in the principles of Verbal Behavior prior to registering. There will be an examination of barriers that arise during the assessment, planning and programming stages for students. Problem solving and solutions will be a strong tenant of this training. Active participation by those who are selected to attend will occur throughout the day for this work group.

This Level 2 workshop is open to participants who have previously attended BOTH the Level 1 Autism Introduction training (two or three day) AND the Level 2 Autism ABLLS/VB trainings in previous years. Those who do not meet this minimum but who have a similar content background are encouraged to inquire for individual enrollment decisions. In addition, participants need to have completed an ABLLS, ABLLS-R, VP-MAPP or similar tool prior to registering. Evidence of this administration will be required before registration is confirmed. This training is limited to a maximum of 25 people for each date; therefore, if multiple people from a particular district or administrative unit register for this training, participants will be selected by the CDE consultant so there is fair representation across the state.
