Qualifications of this Organization (licensure, trademark, etc.):

The Evaluation Center (TEC) is an independent, not-for-profit division of a major research university, UCD. Its purpose is to promote evidence-informed practices and policies in schools, institutions of higher education, health care, and communities. This unique situation allows the center to operate independently and to provide external evaluation services to clients both inside and outside of the University. The TEC team consists of staff with strong expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodology, and a cadre of well-qualified graduate students. The team has conducted evaluations for clients, such as Denver Public Schools (teacher compensation program (ProComp), Innovation Schools), the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and the Colorado Department of Education. TEC currently serves as external evaluators for the Colorado Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) and Novel Education Clinical Trainees and Researchers (NECTAR) programs.

All staff members are CITI certified.

Qualifications of Instructors/ Staff that Provide Services:

The Evaluation Center is made up of a staff of Senior Evaluators, Evaluation Specialists and graduate assistants that have extensive experience working in public education and higher education in various capacities. This experience coupled with our extensive portfolio of diverse clients we've served give us unparalleled insight into the intricacies and inner workings of schools, school districts, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education.

Cost:

We will work with clients to develop a comprehensive evaluation plan and determine what services are needed. We are a fee for service organization, our hourly rate is $100.

Explanation of how we are able to provide differentiated services to meet the individual needs of schools and districts.

The Evaluation Center is housed within the School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. In many ways the center operates as an autonomous not-for-profit entity, but with the backing of a major research university. This unique situation allows the center to operate independently and to provide external evaluation services to a wide range of clients, each with unique needs.
The Evaluation Center has extensive experience providing program evaluation to clients from a wide variety of industries, from K-12 public school systems to non-profit organizations and from biomedical research universities to private professional development programs.

How will we evaluate our services and support to schools and districts and its effectiveness in school/ district/ student achievement?

The Evaluation Center offers a full range of evaluation services to our clients, including designing and conducting evaluations, integrating qualitative and quantitative analyses, and disseminating findings in a useful and meaningful way. We will work with you to develop a comprehensive plan that meets your unique needs, which will help you learn about and improve your program, as well as providing a rigorous and objective analysis of your program’s progress and effectiveness.

The Evaluation Center is unique among program evaluation groups because we operate as an autonomous not-for-profit entity embedded within the University of Colorado Denver. This provides us with access to resources including:

* Use of the university library for obtaining research literature,
* Relationships with experts in content and methodology, and
* A network of professional connections across the community and country.

We invite you to contact us to discuss your project. Although we generally prefer to conduct a full program evaluation for clients, we can also provide evaluation services a la carte (such as helping to design a logic model conducting focus groups, or analyzing your existing data).
