Colorado School-to-Career

The School-to-Career Partnership was a statewide effort assisting local schools and communities to develop a K-16 learning system that promotes attainment of high academic standards, career development and workforce preparation for every student.  This initiative was funded by a federal five-year grant that ended in 2001.  Although the grant is over, many schools and school districts in Colorado continue with school-to-career initiatives and use the following resources to sustain it within their district/school. These products are also being used by many stakeholders around the state as viable resources.

There isn't a CDE consultant available for this grant or website - it is strictly for resources only.

When students sit in a classroom and wonder, "When am I ever going to use this information?," the real world can seem a million miles away. To receive a top-notch education, they need to see the relevancy of rigorous academic studies to their own lives.

The mission of Colorado School-to-Career was to bring students, businesses, communities, schools and families together to form partnerships. These partnerships offer many options to students, educators, business leaders and community members - from job shadowing experiences to curriculum.
