KN95 Masks for Colorado Schools
On July 16, Gov. Jared Polis announced that Colorado will provide educators with medical-grade masks. This offer includes any staff who work directly with students at public schools, private schools, charters, BOCES, districts and facility schools.
CDE is working with the State Emergency Operations Center to coordinate the delivery to Colorado school districts, BOCES and facility schools of a 10-week supply of KN95 masks -- one mask per week -- for every staff member who works with students. Charter schools and non-Catholic private schools will be asked to pick up their supply of masks at the district in which they are located. Masks for staff at Catholic schools will be delivered to each diocese.
Representatives from the State Emergency Operations Center are calling school districts, BOCES, charters, facility schools and private schools to coordinate delivery, confirm physical addresses and numbers of staff people who need the masks. We anticipate that deliveries will begin on Aug. 17
