Dr. Cathy Lines, Chair

Bio

Dr. Cathy Lines was selected as the Chair of the State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education (SACPIE) in November 2012. She is a Family, School, and Community Partnering (FSCP) Consultant for the Colorado Department of Education and serves as a CDE representative on SACPIE. Cathy also is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver in the Child, Family, and School Psychology Program and has co-authored several publications on family-school partnering. She has served as a co-chair of the Colorado Special Education Advisory Committee (CSEAC) and was a member of the National Association of School Psychologists’ Futures in School Psychology Task Force on Family-School Partnerships. Prior to her current positions, Cathy served as a school psychologist and Mental Health Coordinator for the Cherry Creek Schools. She is a licensed psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. In 2003, Cathy was selected as the Colorado School Psychologist of the Year. While her own two adult children were in school, Cathy served as the School Accountability Committee (SAC) Co-Chair in several buildings.
