Capture Strategic Objective
One of the strategic objectives under the RISE program is Capture. This strategic objective seeks to capture important information about every student and educator in Colorado. For students, this might be educational history, including early educational background, learning strengths and areas needing more attention, test scores, grades, achievements and more. For educators, this includes educator characteristics, preparation and development.
The Capture strategic objective is accomplished through two main
projects and one expansion, as follows:
1) Data Pipeline
2) State Equalization Re-Write
3) Data Warehouse Expansion (Operational Data Store)
Data PipelineThe Data Pipeline project aims to replace the outdated Automated Data Exchange (ADE) system with a new method of capturing data, called Data Pipeline. Ultimately, this project will help streamline data collection and reduce manual burdens on our school districts. Data collected will shift from a program-centric to a more student-centric collection model. |
State Equalization Re-WriteThe State Equalization Re-Write project addresses public school finance by upgrading the technology that provides districts with state funding, while streamlining and automating many manual processes. |
Data Warehouse ExpansionCDE’s Data Warehouse will be extended to include the data that will be provided by the LINK infrastructure and intended use of the data. |
