Article 93 within the Concerning Measures to Reduce the Frequency of Bullying in Schools ACT (HB 11-1254) created the School Bullying Prevention and Education Grant Program. This set up a cash fund for gifts, grants, and donations in order to reduce the frequency of bullying incidents. Intended recipients are schools, facility schools, or collaborative groups of public schools or facility schools. The November 2015 ballot measure Proposition BB provided the first funds to support this grant program.
CDE is currently in the process of rulemaking for the disbursement of these funds through an request for proposal (RFP) process.
