Academic Support
With the support of the legislature, content experts in math, science, arts, and social studies have been hired and have been working to support the standards revision process. This work is initial step in providing more and better support for content and curriculum efforts for the field. Once content standards have been finalized, content specialists will develop a range of tools to provide universal support to all Colorado school districts. This includes the development of model curricula frameworks based on revised content standards, criteria and processes for evaluating instructional and assessment programs, and tools to support continued improvement in instructional delivery informed by research. These tools and resources will enable districts to build internal capacity and create effective partnerships with external technical support providers.
