Online and Blended Educator Recognition

2014-15 Online/Blended Teacher or School Counselor Recognition

The Division of Innovation, Choice and Engagement, along with the Office of Blended & Online Learning, would like to recognize teachers and school counselors in blended and online environments that go above and beyond in their service to students enrolled in Colorado’s online and blended schools and programs.  

How to Nominate:

  •   Principals, Directors, and Superintendents that oversee online and blended programs and schools are eligible to nominate practitioners.
  •   Nominator must complete the 2014-15 Online/Blended Teacher and School Counselor Recognition Application.
  •   The nominee must complete the Self-Response Form and provide a electronic picture of themselves.
  •   Submit the completed Application, Self-Response Form and photo of nominee via email to: Renee Martinez at martinez_r@cde.state.co.us
  •   Submission Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2015 at 4:00pm

Candidate Eligibility

  • Worked for a Supplemental, Single-District, or Multi-District Online School or Program in Colorado in the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years.
  • Licensed and/or considered highly qualified as defined by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.

Review Process:

  • All nominees, including finalists, will be contacted by Monday, March 30, 2014.
  • Finalists will be recognized at the May State Board Meeting.
