About the Teaching and Learning Unit
The Teaching and Learning Unit consists of the offices of Standards and Instructional Support; Learning Supports; and P-3. We help to implement the CAP4K program and Colorado Academic Standards. The offices of the Teaching and Learning Unit provide services to all Colorado districts and schools to support learning and achievement for children.
Office of Standards and Instructional Support
The Office of Standards and Instructional Support consists of full time and part-time staff of content specialists with expertise in the 16 subject areas within the Colorado Academic Standards. This team is committed to supporting education professionals across the state in implementing the Colorado Academic Standards for student success. The team provides guidance and expertise through technical assistance, both internally and externally, related to standards implementation and instructional support.

Office of Learning Supports
Support for Response to Intervention (RtI), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
The Office of Early Learning and School Readiness (OELSR) works with school districts, community partners, and families to ensure that Colorado’s youngest students are ready for and succeed in school. The P-3 Office includes the literacy and preschool teams.
