Our Mission

We support and guide individuals across Colorado in pursuing meaningful careers in education, from early childhood through secondary education. By promoting the profession, offering career guidance, and providing accessible resources and personalized support, we help students, educators, and career changers explore opportunities, enhance their skills, and build lasting careers. Through fostering strong partnerships with educators, institutions, and community organizations, we strive to create an environment where every educator has the resources and support needed to succeed and thrive in a fulfilling career.

Our Team

Educator Career Navigation Office Hours

We are here to support anyone who has questions about obtaining an educator license, early childhood qualification or deciphering the appropriate pathway to become an educator. Sessions take place on Zoom every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 11am to 12pm. A member of CDE's Educator Recruitment and Retention (ERR) team and the Early Childhood Career Navigation (ECCN) team will be available at each scheduled virtual office hours session.

Financial Assistance Opportunities for Aspiring and Current Educators

Are you a paraprofessional interested in becoming a licensed educator? Are you seeking to become a licensed educator using the alternative license pathway? You may be eligible for a one-time financial award of up to $10,000 to pay for your educator preparation costs in exchange for a 3-year commitment to teaching in a Colorado public school through our Educator Recruitment and Retention Program.
