Colorado Legislative CouncilThe Legislative Council was created in 1953 to collect research data, consider important issues of public policy and to prepare reports, bills, and other documents for presentation to the General Assembly. The council is a legislative committee, but has a permanent research staff. The staff serve as the nonpartisan research arm of the Colorado General Assembly.
The council maintains a Web site that includes links to ballot issues, economic forecasts, fiscal notes, school finance, and sunrise/sunset reviews. The reports listed below as well as many additional public policy research reports and legislative information are found on the Council Web site at: www.state.co.us/gov_dir/leg_dir/lcs.htm.
