Program Description: I have arranged graduate level credit for the course Supervision and Evaluation for Colorado Educators offered through Adams StateUniversity. The training, Supervision and Evaluation for Colorado Educators, is designed for professionally licensed principals, candidates accepted into any Alternative Licensure Program for Principals, as w ell as teachers in the field of education. The course will follow the requirements of the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and is formatted to Colorado Quality Standards. It is designed to train school administrators and teacher leaders concerning Colorado’s teaching standards, data collection and management skills, data driven leadership, and coaching and feedback techniques. Participants successfully completing this training will be approved to conduct formal evaluations of instructional staff as a principal or principal designee. While the training reflects the requirements included in the teacher effectiveness legislation, it is based on research and best practice regarding teacher evaluation and supervision in general.
