Greeley-Evans School District 6

Program Description

This program is designed to train and certify evaluators as designees using the State Model Evaluation System, as well as strengthen the skills of current licensed principals and administrators within Greeley-Evans Weld County School District #6. Participants will receive training modules on the art and science of Colorado’s State Model Evaluation System. The training modules will be delivered face to face in monthly meetings. Mentoring will be provided for each candidate. The content of this training is designated for Greeley-Evans School District 6 active employees only.  The content for the modules includes:

  • State Statutory Requirements District Policies /Procedures/Master Contract  specific to Greeley #6- historical perspective, values of D6, process for implementing the system, guidelines and procedures approved by our Evaluation 1338 Council.
  • State Model Evaluation Process - Reviewing the rubric, covering the pink sheet
  • Measure of Student Learning/Outcomes - Discussion of all tests and evaluation components 
  • Inter-rater agreement Practices - Use of videos from CDE.
  • Coaching and Feedback Techniques - Individual small group work to mentor and coach new evaluators with seasoned evaluators
  • Evaluation data and performance management system - Demonstration and guidance on how the management system works, RANDA

Participants seeking to be a certified designee evaluator must successfully complete all of the training modules and demonstrate their competency through practice observations and evaluations included in the training modules.
