Program Description

Children’s Leadership Institute offers effective evaluator training for school districts and individuals who are fulfilling administrative licensure requirements, practicing administrators desiring to update their overall understanding of evaluation of educator effectiveness and educators without an administrative license who may be identified as ‘designees’ under Senate Bill 10-191. Our programs can be tailored to meet individual and district training needs, as well as, individualized follow-up sessions. Evaluation and supervision strategies included are: data collection, data analysis, legal aspects, evaluation report writing, conferencing, goal setting and focusing on student outcomes. Compliance with state law and district guidelines are covered throughout our training. Effective educator evaluation methods are strategically presented in the context of Colorado’s Educator Effectiveness law. Our training integrates the essential aspects of supervision and evaluation with the technical and human resource skills needed to effectively supervise and evaluate teachers, principals and specialized service personnel. Our training modules will include:

  • State Model Rubrics. Purpose, Design, Impact on Student Learning and Applied Practice
  • Effective Teachers, Special Service Providers and Principals
  • Scoring the Quality Standards
  • Observation Techniques
  • Coaching and Feedback
  • Creating a High Performance Culture for Learning; 21st Century Skills/Social Emotional Learning
