Program Description: 

Program Description: This program is designed to train and certify “designee” evaluators using the State Model Evaluation System, as well as strengthen the skills of licensed principals and administrators. Participants will receive training modules on the art and science of Colorado’s State Model Evaluation System. The training modules can be delivered in person or online, and will be tailored to the needs of your organization (charter, online, etc).

The training modules will include:

• Senate Bill 10-191 Requirements and Critical Effects
• 9 Step State Model Evaluation System
• Effective teachers
• Effective special service providers
• Effective principals
• Scoring the quality standards
• Inter-Rater Agreement vs Inter-Rater Reliability
• Observation techniques
• Coaching and feedback
• Data-based decision making

Participants seeking to be a certified designee evaluator must successfully complete all of the training modules and demonstrate their competency through the practice evaluations included.
