Title II Part D - Formula Grant

The formula allocation of Title II-D is designed to provide districts with funds to support the goals of Title II-D.  The primary goal of this part is to improve academic achievement through the use of technology.  Additional goals of this program are to ensure that all 8th grade students are technologically literate by the time the student finishes the eight grade and to encourage effective integration of technology curriculum development to establish research-based instructional methods that can be widely implemented as best practices by State and local educational agencies.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides approximately $100 billion for education, creating a historic opportunity to save hundreds of thousands of jobs, support states and school districts, and advance reforms and improvements that will create long-lasting results for our students and our nation including early learning, K-12, and post-secondary education.

The overall goals of ARRA are to spend funds quickly to save and create jobs, improve student achievement through school improvement and reform, ensure transparency, reporting and accountability, and to invest in one-time ARRA funds thoughtfully to minimize the "funding cliff".

Applications

Due to the elimination of the Title II Part D allocation for the 2011-12 funding year, the Consolidated Application has been modified to allow LEAs to manage carry-over funds.  The Acceptance, Relinquishment, Assignment and Certification form was updated and the application tables will be reduced and only required if the LEA determines that there will be carry-over funds from the 2010-11 funding year.

Additional information regarding these changes will be presented in the Title IID Consolidated Application training webinar found at the Consolidated Application Training Center http://www.cde.state.co.us/FedPrograms/consapp/trainctr.asp

Applications for Title II Part D formula funds are accepted through the Consolidated Application.  Click here for access to the Consolidated Application.
