Information for Parents
To support high quality, responsive, and relationship based care for infants and toddlers, the EQ Initiative funds the EQIT Course of Training in local communities. This 48 hour course is an important component of a providerís professional development and deepens his or her knowledge of social/emotional development, cognitive development, partnering with families, and providing culturally responsive care. If your provider is participating in the EQIT Course of Training, he or she may also be participating in EQ RELATE Coaching. Through EQ RELATE Coaching, an EQ Instructor visits the providerís classroom or home to support the provider in reflecting on and applying new understandings to their own practice.
