2020 Colorado Academic Standards for Preschool 

The State Board of Education approved revisions to the Colorado Academic Standards, including those for preschool, in the summer of 2018. These standards must be adopted by school districts by the 2020-21 school year. Find more information at the Office of Standards and Instructional Support.

Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines

The Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines describe the trajectory of children's learning and development from birth to age eight. They include a broad description of children's growth to ensure a holistic approach to creating positive early childhood environments. These guidelines supplement the Colorado Academic Standards for preschool, and their development was informed by the Head Start Child Development & Early Learning Framework.
