Resource Bank
- The fair and reliable student learning measures selected will
be examples, which will begin a resource bank that grows in
number and develops in sophistication over time. These
instruments will be listed online in the state resource bank
after piloting and peer review of the tools has verified
consistency of use and intent for the purposes of educator
effectiveness evaluations.
- These instruments will be recognized for voluntary school and
district use beginning in August 2013. They will not be used in
the district or school performance frameworks for
accountability.
- If a district chooses to create, augment or purchase other fair
and reliable assessments not identified by the state, a quality
criteria framework and protocol will be provided by The
Technical Steering Committee to verify that they “meet or
exceed” common Colorado thresholds for student learning
measures.
- The state resource bank will house strong examples for
demonstrating student academic learning. The instruments
themselves will increase over the course of three years in both
number of high quality assessments identified for use and level
of psychometric sophistication.
- The online bank is a voluntary resource for schools and
districts which decide to use these instruments to measure
student growth for the purposes of determining, in part,
effective teaching.
- Beginning August, 2013, these vetted instruments will be
listed on the Resource Bank, housed on the
Educator Effectiveness website.
