State board passes resolution concerning the December shooting at Arapahoe High School and in honor of Claire Davis

State Board Support For Districts in Priority Improvement and Turnaround
Based on a request from Commissioner Robert Hammond, staff shared protocol to guide the process whereby the state board will invite districts entering year four or five on the state accountability clock to present their performance history and improvement efforts. To view the protocol, click here.
Colorado Futures Presentation: 2013 Colorado Sustainability Study
Staff from Colorado State University’s Colorado Futures Center presented the 2013 Colorado Sustainability Study. The comprehensive study looks at the long-term fiscal health of state government and examines the factors shaping the state’s general fund for the decades ahead.
Notice of Rulemaking Hearing
The board approved the notice of rulemaking for the rules concerning proposed revisions to education accountability rules.
The board approved its operating procedures.
The board approved moving its May 2014 meeting from May 7& 8 to May 14 & 15.
The Colorado State Board of Education will hold its next meeting in February at the Colorado Department of Education, 201 E. Colfax Ave., in Denver.
