Literacy Support Team
The Colorado Department of Education, Literacy Grants and Initiatives Unit (LGI), is training a Literacy Support Team of 80 individuals to promote literacy in their region of the state.
LGI has selected 80 individuals through an application process to participate in the Literacy Support Team (LST) training. This training will consist of (1) gaining expertise in how to support schools and teachers in implementing research-based instructional practices that support literacy achievement for K-3 students, (2) furthering knowledge of how to support schools and teachers in implementing research-based instructional practices that support literacy achievement for K-3 students, and (3) serving as mentors for educators new to this field.
