Codes for Entering CBLA Data

Student CBLA Status

0 Not Required
CBLA Status is optional (can be zero-filled) for the following:

  • Pre-K students
  • K - 3 students entering after May 1
  • 4 - 12th graders not in the 3rd-grade ILP Cohort
  • 12th graders

  • Students performing at or above grade level in reading
  • Kindergarteners with reading readiness skills

  • Students on ILPs
  • Students whose ILP literacy goals are included in IEPs

  • 3rd-grade students who took CSAP-A
  • K - 2 students eligible to take CSAP-A (only required for 3rd-grade students)
    		•
    Note: All K - 3 students who entered school before May 1, and any 4th - 11th graders who are part of the ILP 3rd-Grade Cohort, must have a 1, 2, or 3 in the CBLA Status field.
