Special Education Funding

The Grants Fiscal and Exceptional Student Leadership Units are hosting a joint training to provide information to the field on special education revenue and expenditure requirements and reporting procedures. Topics will include: Maintenance of Effort (MOE), Federal Application process for IDEA Part B and Preschool (narratives and budgets), project evaluation, requirements for providing services to students with disabilities in charter schools and private schools, Early Intervening Services, staff, and Extended School Year. Training will also cover the web-based system for submitting narratives and budgets, requests for funds, End of Year revenues and expenditures, and the close out process.

In an effort to save paper, only print what you need. We will give you a CD with all the materials to use during the training, along with wireless access. Please bring a laptop to share with your co-workers.
