Dropout Data for 2010-11
Additional Information
Historical Overview
NOTE: The Colorado Department of Education began using new race/ethnicity reporting categories in 2010-11. Therefore, historical data will not be available for the reporting categories of “Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander” or “Two or More Races”.

NOTE: The Colorado dropout rate is an annual rate. This rate reflects
the percentage of all students enrolled in grades 7-12, who leave school
during a single year without subsequently attending another school or
education program. It is calculated by dividing the number of dropouts
by a membership base that includes all students who were in membership
any time during the year. In accordance with a 1993 legislative mandate,
beginning with the 1993-94 school year, the dropout rate calculation
excludes expelled students.
