2006-2007 K-12 Student Discipline Analysis
This brief analysis of K-12 student discipline incidents data addresses behaviors that violate laws and/or Codes of Conduct that school districts reported for the 2006-07 school year. It depicts the actions taken in response to these behaviors, i.e. suspensions, referrals to law enforcement, etc..The report includes:
- overall findings
- actions by race and ethnicity
- the most common behaviors and actions taken by elementary, middle/junior high, and senior high schools, and
- expulsions mandated by law vs. actual expulsions that occur
It concludes with a listing of links to charts and graphs, pertinent Colorado Revised Statutes, and resources on the Web.
