  • The deadline for submission of requests and all necessary documentation for alternative testing arrangements is the standard registration deadline. Because of space, staff, and time constraints, there can be no assurance that requests received after this deadline can be accommodated.
  • Registrations must be completed by 4:00 p.m. mountain time on the registration deadline for the period.

  * Multiple-choice-only tests
** PLACE results for all tests with performance assignments (Basic Skills, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and Special Education Specialist: Visually Impaired) will be available approximately four weeks after the test date.

Test dates for the next program year will be posted here in the fall of 2015.

Test Selection

The PLACE tests are conducted in morning and afternoon test sessions, each of which is four and one-half hours in length. The morning session has a reporting time of 7:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. The afternoon session has a reporting time of 1:00 p.m. and ends at approximately 6:00 p.m.

You may register for no more than two tests at an administration. One test may be taken per session. Session requests cannot be honored because of specific session assignments for some tests. You may register for the same test only once at a given administration.

Unless otherwise noted, tests may be assigned to either the morning or the afternoon session.
