Educator Licensing FAQ's
Welcome to the Colorado Department of Education's FAQ's. The FAQ's are designed to assist you in finding answers to your Licensing questions.
All educators wanting to be licensed in Colorado have to fill out an Initial License application. The application needs to be filled out in its entirety. If there are any sections not completed the application will be returned to you.
All school districts have access to check the status of a candidate's license.
Any correspondence you send to the Educator Licensing office, letters or email, should include your birth date for proper identification in retrieving your records.
