1. Is renewal credit required for renewal of a Interim Authorization?
No, you are only required to submit a Renewal of a Interim Authorization application and an evaluation fee.
2. Can I renew my Interim Authorization more than once?
No, you are not able to renew your Interim Authorization more than once. You have two full years to pass your content area exam.
3. I passed my content area exam but my Interim Authorization had already expired when I took the exam. What is required to get my Initial License issued?
If your Interim Authorization was expired on the date that you took your content area exam you must submit an Initial License application and an evaluation fee for the issuance of a Initial License. You do not have to submit transcripts again. It is not necessary to have your Institutional Recommendation page signed again and you are not required to get your employment verified. You must fill out the Oath and Consent pages, including date and signature.
4. Should I submit my PLACE or Praxis II scores to CDE once I pass my content area exam?
CDE automatically receives your test scores if you take the test in Colorado. Out-of-state applicants who took the Praxis II exam outside of Colorado should send a copy of their scores and updated mailing address to the Educator Licensing Unit:
