To determine eligibility please start the application process as soon as possible. One-year Alternative Program candidates start by applying to the Colorado Dept. of Education. Two-year Teacher In Residence Program candidates start by applying directly to the Designated Agencies offering that program. You may apply to both programs.
Candidates in either program are employees of the school district, charter or private school. Salaries vary by school district. (This information is available only from the district.) Eligibility for these programs does not guarantee placement. All Alternative and TIR candidates must secure full-time employment in their endorsement area.
