Directors' Conference

Directors’ Conference is an annual gathering of Colorado Child Nutrition Program food service directors, hosted by the CDE School Nutrition Unit.  It is a conference that provides informative sessions and the most up-to-date information related to the USDA Child Nutrition Programs.

New Directors' Orientation

New Directors’ Orientation is a five-day course designed for new Child Nutrition Program directors. This 33.5-hour course is a basic overview of the following topics: USDA regulations, financial management, USDA foods, customer service, marketing, HACCP, menu planning, personnel management, children with special needs, purchasing, facility layout and equipment selection, social media tools, and environmental management.

This PowerPoint is designed to help School Food Authorities determine what their responsibilities are regarding students with special dietary needs.

Verification

The Verification training will help School Food Authorities in districts large and small understand the required USDA Verification process, which must take place starting on October 1 every school year.  School Food Authorities will walk through how to perform Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the process.
