2013-2014 Annual Free and Reduced Price Application and Income Verification Training
Training on the Free and Reduced Price process is required annually, with the option of completing the training online or in-person at a regional training. At least one person from each SFA must complete the training (either online or in-person.) Up to three people from each SFA may complete the online training, and up to two people from each SFA may attend the regional training.
On-line Training - must be completed by Friday, August 9, 2013; up to three people from each SFA may complete the online-training.
Regional Training - up to two people from a district may attend the regional training. All regional trainings will be from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The regional training is free, and a light breakfast will be provided. The primary topics are free & reduced price meal application processing, direct certification, categorical eligibility, confidentiality, letters to parents, and income verification. SFAs should bring a copy of the Eligibility Guidance for School Meals Manual. If you do not have a copy, please be sure to print one from: http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdenutritran/nutrfreeandreducedmaterials.htm. There will be time for open discussion, so come prepared with any questions you might have.
You must register to attend any of the regional trainings listed below, no later than one week prior to the training.

If any training has fewer than five people registered by the registration deadline, CDE OSN may cancel the training. If this occurs, we will let any registered participants know of the change one week ahead of time, and these participants will need to complete the online training or attend any of the remaining regional trainings.
