Information for Vendors

• Purchasing within the Colorado educational community is decentralized.  The Department of Education purchases goods/services only for the use of the agency.  

• School districts establish their own purchasing procedures.  If you would like to contact Colorado’s 178 school districts you will find contact information on our web site at the following address: www.cde.state.co.us/edulibdir/directory_03.pdf 

• BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services) provide services for their member school districts. Services could include procurement of supplies. The contact information for the BOCES and lists of member districts can be found at: www.cde.state.co.us/edulibdir/directory_06.pdf 

• Non-discretionary purchases are made via the Colorado BIDS system. For more information on the BIDS system and to register, contact the Division of Finance and Procurement at 303-894-2039 or log on to their website at  www.gssa.state.co.us and follow the links  

• If you would like to provide the Department of Education with catalogs, brochures, etc., please forward the material to 201 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO, 80203, Attn: Purchasing Agent.
