Power Libraries Program

The Power Libraries Program is a statewide program designed to bring recognition to the role that school library media programs and teacher librarians play in promoting student achievement.

Greetings from the Power Libraries Program Board.

Due to the state of the economy and the budget cutbacks that school districts, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), and the State Library are experiencing, the Power Libraries Program Board has decided to focus on containing costs and supporting the existing member schools by putting the application process on hold for 2010 – 2011. Schools desiring to apply for Power Libraries Program should plan for the 2011-2012 application which will open in February 2011.
