Colorado Library Services and Technology Act Strategic Plan

The Institute of Museum and Library Services, the federal agency that provides LSTA funding, requires that all states update their five-year strategic plan to define the needs, goals, and strategic direction for which LSTA funding will be used. Colorado's five-year plan can be viewed here. This plan was created with the assistance of many key library leaders throughout the state, and will be reviewed and revised as needed over the next five years. The goals, objectives and project recommendations will be incorporated into the LSTA Grant programs that are administered by the Library Development Services staff at the Colorado State Library.

Statewide Library Goals Comparison Chart (PDF)
This chart shows how the goals of the state's Moving Libraries Forward aligns with the goals of the State Library's LSTA five-year plan submitted in 2007 to IMLS. This is a fluid document, and will be changed as projects and information are brought forward relative to achieving the goals listed.

For information about LSTA grants nationally, see the IMLS website or view LSTA plans from other states.
