Ask an Expert!
Sometimes not knowing where to start can derail an entire project. Would you like to reach out to a new immigrant population in your community but have no idea how to even approach them? Is there someone in your library that is in need of sensitivity training and you don’t know where to turn for help? Let us assist you in finding the answers to your library diversity questions!
Experts in Library Diversity (XLS)
We have developed a list of Special Populations Committee members who are willing to share their knowledge in library diversity. These “experts” are eager to answer your questions on community outreach, collection development, volunteer management, event programming, staff training in diversity, new immigrant outreach, marketing and much more!
Statewide Partners with Expert Knowledge in Diversity (XLS)
Here you will find a list of nine organizations that can assist you with questions on outreach to special populations, training, child and adult literacy, referrals, speakers, and resources for immigrant populations.
