Advisory Boards

Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy

In January 2008, staff from more than a dozen Colorado public libraries and the Colorado State Library began meeting to collaborate on a comprehensive approach to delivering children's early literacy services statewide. Two committees, Advocacy and Training, were formed to pursue the group's mission: Strengthening children's literacy through library services and community advocacy. CLEL's steering committee currently serves as an advisory group to the Colorado State Library.

Highly Effective School Library Program Board

The Highly Effective School Library Program provides lifelong learning opportunities while supporting all schools as they strive to improve student achievement and prepare students for 21st century success. The Highly Effective School Library Program also recognizes outstanding school librarians and library programs. The board serves in an advisory capacity to the Colorado State Library and the Highly Effective School Library Program staff.

REACH: Leading Learning in Libraries

Reach is open to anyone who coordinates continuing education for library staff in Colorado. The forum meets to discuss current and future continuing education, plan online and in person training, provide train-the-trainer opportunities for each other, and develop collaborative efforts for continuing education in Colorado.
