About
The School Library Senior Consultant:

  • Provides technical assistance, continuing education, and support for librarians, administrators, and educators;
  • Coordinates and develops special projects relating to school library services;
  • Provides assistance and expertise in meeting Colorado educational standards and improving student achievement;
  • Serves as the liaison to the Colorado Association of School Librarians (CASL)

Assistance is also available in areas such as educational technology and information literacy planning, Information Literacy and Assessment Rubrics, national trends in school media services, and integrated curriculum practices.

School Library Law

Replacement and Return of Loaned Library Resources: Colorado school boards have the authority to withhold a diploma, transcript, or grades of any student who fails to return or replace any library materials at the end of a semester or school year.
