Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy
In January 2008, staff from more than a dozen Colorado public libraries and the Colorado State Library began meeting to collaborate on a comprehensive approach to delivering children's early literacy services statewide. Two committees, Advocacy and Training, were formed to pursue the group's mission: Strengthening children's literacy through library services and community advocacy. CLEL's steering committee currently serves as an advisory group to the Colorado State Library.

Colorado Library Advisory Board (CoLAB)
An historic advisory board, CoLAB was formed in 2002, merging two previous boards with wide-ranging representation from libraries and citizens. CoLAB was dissolved in 2006 so that Board members could reallocate time, energy, and resources to other relevant activities.
