NCLB Annual Financial Report Files
2006-2007 User Guide
WARNING: prior to opening the Annual Financial Report files, please close all other M/S Excel files you may have open.
Before downloading the Excel Annual Financial Report files, open Excel (Start-Programs-Microsoft Excel) to a blank worksheet. Click "Tools" from the toolbar at the top of the screen. Highlight "Macro" from the dropdown list, then double-click on "Security". You will see the screen below. Make sure the radio button next to "Medium" is on so that you will be able to use the macro included with the Annual Financial Report files. If the "Medium" button has not been selected, select it and click on the OK button.
Next go back to the NCLB - No Child Left Behind table of contents under Fiscal Year 2006-2007, Annual Financial Report files.
Right Click on the Appropriate Annual Financial Report file.
Choose the "Save Target As" option from the pop-up box. The File Download screen will appear. Enter the directory path on your hard drive or network drive where you would like the Annual Financial Report file stored and click OK.

After downloading and saving the Excel file, open it up by double-clicking on the file name or go into Excel from the Start-Programs-Microsoft Excel route and then open the file (File-Open). Each time you open the file you will see a screen which asks if you want to enable macros. The correct response is Enable Macros. Macros are embedded computer programs which perform tasks for you. In this Excel file, the macro will help you select the appropriate options you will need to complete in order to email the file back to CDE after you have finished your data input to the file. You will notice sheets being hidden and unhidden by the macro based on your selections made on the 2a - cover page sheet, this is normal.
