2008 Colorado Growth Model District & School Reports
How To Read The Charts
Each school is represented by a circle. The size of the circle indicates the size of one individual school’s enrollment. You can view all schools simultaneously or choose a group of schools by grade level. You may also select whether to view the results by math, reading or writing.
Under “Schools” in the lower right-hand corner, you can select an individual school to view its results. If you want to return to viewing all schools in a district, do so by changing the subject. In other words, if you are looking at one elementary school for reading and you want to view the district chart again, switch the reading selection to math to return to the district level.
The Quadrants
The chart is broken down into four quadrants.
Schools that appear to the right of the vertical line have growth rates that are above the state median of the 50th percentile.
The horizontal line separating the quadrants is set at the state average percent proficient or advanced across all grades for each subject.
Data are provided only for those students who are not new to the school after October 1st of the academic school year.
