Waiver Request

Charter Schools may request waivers from state statutes (see memo below). These requests must be approved by the charter school's authorizer, usually the school district, through a board resolution. Once the request is approved by the authorizer, it must be submitted to the State Board of Education for final approval (see State Board rules below). The charter school must submit a rationale for each waiver from statute its seeking. Please only use the form provided below for all charter school waiver requests.
